Storytime Feb & Mar '12


Nature Story Adventures in the Garden for Preschoolers
This is a new activity offered by Lincoln Memorial Garden for children ages 3 through 5 who are accompanied by adults. Join us when you can as we explore the spring season in the Garden We’ll read a story, head out for a discovery hike, and make a simple nature craft. The program will be held on Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Themes will change each week. The cost for each session is $5 for Garden member families and $10 for nonmember families.
February 23   The Listening Walk: We’ll take a hike and listen for what we can hear.
March 1   Sugarbush Spring: We’ll tap a sugar maple and make yummy maple syrup.
March 8   Counting On the Woods: What will we find besides trees?
March 15   That’s What Happens When It’s Spring: We’ll look for signs of the new season.
March 22   A Tree Is Nice: Buds, blooms, and leaves are popping out.
March 29   A Nest Full of Eggs: Let’s look and listen for spring birds and their nests.

Art Display 2/11 - 3/10


The public is invited to a reception for the exhibition and artists on February 11  from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The show will be on display from February 6, 2012 to March 10, 2012 during regular library hours.
The Chatham Area Public Library is committed to sharing and promoting the work of local artists.  Art events at the Library are organized by the CAPLD Art Committee, comprised of Chatham volunteers and artists who have a broad interest in expanding the Library’s Art Collection and organizing future exhibitions and shows.
